DOUBLE-COLA Chocolate Cake

It’s National Chocolate Cake Day and we’re celebrating by combining two of the best things in life, chocolate cake and DOUBLE-COLA. Just like DOUBLE-COLA, this cake recipe is sure to be a crowd pleaser and leave everyone wanting more. The best part? It only takes one can or glass bottle of DOUBLE-COLA which will leave you with plenty leftover to drink.

  • 2 cups of flour

  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda

  • A pinch of salt

  • 1 can/glass bottle of DOUBLE-COLA (12oz)

  • 2 tablespoons of cocoa

  • 1 1/2 sticks of unsalted butter (softened and cut into cubes)

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract

  • Optional: Chocolate icing and chocolate shavings to decorate

Directions:
  1. Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees.

  6. Gradually whisk the DOUBLE-COLA mixture in, mixing completely each time.

  7. Pour cake batter into a lightly greased cake pan and bake for 30 minutes.

  8. While cake is baking, pop open a DOUBLE-COLA and enjoy. You deserve it!

Optional: Wait for the cake to completely cool and ice with chocolate icing. Finish off by decorating with chocolate shavings.
